It's JR's new Radio which uses JR's DMSS 2.4Ghz system.

It is not Spektrum DSM, nor is it compatible with Spektrum receivers.

JR are selling it around the world, however Horizon Hobby are unlikely to bring it to the USA because it is a direct competitor to their own Spektrum brand.

I have one and it's a good entry level radio. Comfortable in the hands and easy to program, very close to the 11X.
The telemetry is somewhat limited and most of the sensors aren't available yet.

I could you use the 11x,, is it a better radio I need to upgrade from a 10x

The 10X was very easy to program-I ha all versions of the 10 series and really liked the programming.
The change to the new computer radios is a huge change- and really- the new 8 channels will do more than the 10x.

That new JR is not compatible with what HH sells here so if you want to make life easier - stick with brands supported in the USA.
Personally I like the new DX8-
however the Futaba 8 and the Hitec 9 are awfully good
Forget about stuffing modules in various brands - that's a passing thing - choose one which will allow you to purchase rx etc., which fit your type of model.

I still need the 10 channels
I think I will go with the 11X I have jets also and I hear that the DX8 is a great radio, using the 2.4, and upgrading is a change for me, I still have another 10x ok tow of them but I think its time to move up, at least with the new planes coming on line, but it would cost me a bunch of mulla to do all my planes, I just got this T-34 and the guy put a 2.4 in it so I thought I might as well start the journey

Hey Dave, How’s it going? Decisions, decisions.

There is an XG11 DMSS coming later this year, around Christmas.

It’s the rerelease of the 11x in JR's own DMSS instead of spektrum’s RF.

Nice T-34 there bud!

Futaba’s has a good product line, No doubt. We have Lots of choices out there today.

Dave there has been No word from Horizon Hobby (US Distributor of JR) one way or another about the New DMSS Radios from JR.

The radios are hitting the rest of the world though.

HH likes to wait to the last minute to announce these things.

I believe their main focus is on their own spektrum line and DSM.

They are contending with their own releases, The DX8, DX7s and DX10t.

It's not shipping until Winter. It's super powerful, I really enjoy working on it. I'm not a tray flyer, but I've flown it a few times and it wouldn't be too difficult to get used to.

No better to answer on the Spektrum radios than Andy.

I heard Andy had one of those DX10T’s in the field in the North East just recently.

Now Andy, how about getting the DX7s and DX10T to market, so we can then hear about JR’s DMSS Radios from Horizon Hobby. ;);)

JR is handled by a different division within Horizon. I have no connection to what they are doing other than to fly with them.

If the new xg8 were simply equipped with Model Match, and compatible with DSM2- I would buy one

I’m not a Spektrum Radio user, so I can’t comment on the DX8 since I have no personal experience with it.

I’m only interested in what JR Propo is offering with their new line of XG Radios with their own DMSS RF.

The JRXG7 and XG8 are already out and available. The XG11 will be out in Dec.
