Spektrum...Futaba..............
 

Hi,

I'm new at all this stuff and have learned a lot so far over the last few months and I had no idea there was so much to this hobby but I love it.

What do you guys think about the Spektrum controller verses the Futaba. I've have my eye on the Spektrum DX7s. What are the pros and cons of these products?

If Futaba is better than Spektrum which Futaba controller would be equal to the Spektrum DX7s?

I would suggest doing a search on both products and and read all you can on them, Most times when a question such as yours asked here on this and related
forums it just turns into a type of argurment.

The DX7 is getting a little long in the tooth. Look at some of the newer designs from Spectrum, Futaba and Hitec.

The DX7S is a brand new product, with Telemetry like the DX8, but at a lower cost.

Ithink I'm going to go with the DX6i it holds a 10 plane memory, I don't think I'll have over 10 planes for a while.

Also take a look at the HiTec Aurora 9.
Great product, excellent featuresand well priced.

Hi,

Also visit some RC club near You (where You maybe intend to be a member) and see what brand(s) most of the users are using. That way it will be a little easier to get help with the radio usage (programming etc) later. If most people use Spektrum radios it can be wise to buy that, if mostly Futaba usersget a Futaba. Hope You understand. And rememberit is many ready to fly packages out there includingradio, plane, motor (glowor electric).
