new to 2.4
I just recieved the aurora with a 7channel optima RX , the question is can i use this reciver on a 50 size heli? i see it has only one antenna is it because its meant to be only for smaller aircraft ? the 9 channel reciever has 2 antennas this makes it fro larger aircraft ? please let me know how it works
Thanks Edwin |
RE: new to 2.4
I have flown the Optima 6 and 7 channel Rxs (9 of them!) over the last 18 months out to the range of my eyeballs on both electric and glow models up to 70 size. They are full range Rx. and Ihave never seen any signs of gltching or brown outs.
Make sure you have properly sized RX batteries and most people here recommend 6 volt systems. Ihave flown 70 size four stroke models with 4.8 volts with no problems. Jim D. |

that's what I wanted to hear

RE: new to 2.4
It all depends; some helis are loaded with carbon fiber. C/F is a 2.4 killer it can block the signal, you will be better off with the 9 channel receiver so you can get antenna diversity. If your heli is for example a Rappy, then don’t worry about it the 7 channel rx single antenna will do just fine.
