Antique SS Transmitters

Thirty years ago I owned and used a RS Single Stick transmitter. I don't have this unit anymore but I'm seeing several other brands being advertised for sale on this website and another. The price being asked is more than they were worth new. Is there really a market for these antique transmitters?

look on eBay. If there is a market, you will see it there for lots of old stuff.

Example:

I have a fellow club member who still had his 1970's vintage Proline Single Stick transmitter. He was offered a brand new in the box Spektrum DX8 radio so he made the trade.

I don't think I would have traded.. I have a proline custom competition two stick radio, and the sticks in it are superb..

But, my DX8 is pretty nice, too! So far I'm liking it, and I haven't used the proline in many years..

I failed to point out the support for the MicroPro8000.
In my signature is my web site for the MicroPro8000, also called the MP8K is http://sites.google.com/site/mp8kinfo
I specialize in the MP8K and only service the MP8K in addition to programming upgrades and supplying hardware to convert to 2.4 GHz.
Also, I moderate a YAHOO site is available for MP8K support that has over 600 members worldwide at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/mp8k

Should bring back some old memories, I have considered having it converted to 2.4 mhz by Radio South.

Agreed fully. The Proline custom comp was one great tx, the best set of joysticks (machined from aluminium with ball bearings and superb discrete electronics......I still weep.
