can the bind port on receiver be used to power LED lights??

I have a ar7200bx receiver and need a channel to power my led lights the only open port i have is the bind port, can this be used to power my led lights?

Other than the signal pin, the pos and neg pins are the same as any of the other pos/neg pins on the receiver bus.

So as long as you're not trying to turn them off and on, yes sure.

Question: I have my LED's plugged into the Bind port and the lights work fine. But when I the DX8 binds with the receiver the all the lights begin flashing at different rates. Where do I need to make adjustments to correct the blinking?

It would be better to power LED's some other way than through the RX.
Even a "Y" power cable to the LED system and the RX.
Since I use motors instead of engines, I'd add a second BEC for things that
are not basic to flight control. An example is my P-51. The retracts and flaps are powered by
one BEC, and everything else by another.
