Will Heng Long RC work in or with Mato Tanks?
 

Hi, I am new to the site, but a life long AFV enthusiast. I go as far back to the 70's and the great Shepard Paine ... back then, an RC tank was nearly unbelievable or at the very least very difficult to get .... now I have many... and many of these are in

partial states of completelion. Basically, I need a crash course on the RC portion of this field.... any one want to point me in the right direction?... I mean from step one to.... where ever....

For example.. I have a few 1/16 Mato Shermans 76 mm that are in need of the mato brain, reciever and all the rest that makes it move....... can one purchase these parts from Mato... I did not see where on their site. liek I said I am a niovice about these

things, so the easier the better... any help in this endeavor would be a great help


P.S I was always into the modding and the exterior stuff for static models.... as I got older and my MS started to rear it's head and my eye-sight deteriorated.. I found 1\16 scale RC Models.. and the Heng Long and Mato stuff was affordable too.

so I dove in.. now I have many unfinished tanks that I would like to get finished and get driving... for example I have a number of Profiline conversion kits.. and I also purchased a number of Heng Long donor hulls, chassis's and turrets... I upgraded many

with metal wheels, suspensions, tracks, Metal gears and all the rest of it... .I even have all the RC parts ... I just need a bit of guidence... to get tem all up and running.

to be a little more specific to my titles theme.. will the Heng Long RX 18 Brain (I think that is what it's called) work with the Mato Sherman 76mm Motor?

If so how do I do it?.... or do I have to figure out how to get a couple of Heng Long Gears and Motor to fit into the Mato 76mm chassis?

Is there a set of upgraded Mato metal motor / gears for the Sherman 76mm..if there is I haven't found it... the metal tracks and wheels and suspension are

substantially heavier than the original plastic stuff. I ask this assuming I can get Mato RC stuff and do not have to squeeze (Round) Heng Long RC gear

into a (square) Mato Tank... a daunting task indeed and I am not certain it can even be done....
