Spektrum DX7 or DX9?

Getting back into the hobby and there's a Spektrum deal going on..... Not sure if I should get the DX7 or spend a few more dollars and get the Black Edition DX9? I can expect to fly bind/fly electrics to 1/4 scale aircraft.... Is there a significant difference in the radios? Build quality? Functions? Feel? Thanks for any support.....

Buy the 9 at least! 1/4 scale can involve whistles and bells that require channels beyond those you might expect.
The why-fores rate an article!

You can never have too much radio, but you will regret not having enough radio somewhere down the road.

I am getting back into the hobby and purchased the DX9 Black Edition. After learning the programming I am starting to like this radio. I did have some issue getting the servos and AR9350 RX due to delivery and production problems but these have been resolved. I went with the DX9 Black edition due to the case and included AR9020 RX. If you are planning on flying 1/4 scale you might needed the additional channels of the DX9.

The one thing I do not like about my new DX7 is that the bars of lights do not come on to indicate charging. My friend with a DX9 says his lights up. If you are not going to use Y's for ailerons, flaps etc, I would get a 9 and of course a 9 channel receiver

the nice thing about both is the rigid antenna.

regards,

bob
