Servo cable problem

Hi all
I have recently bought four second hand Power HD servos type D21HV. Their cable is stiff and at some points it is almost non flexible. The servos work fine and without any issues, apparently.
Is there an issue with the cable? Do I have to change it? What could cause such a stiffness?

I've no experience on Power HD servos. But I have used automotive plastic trim treatment & even tire treatment (plastic & rubber right?) on Futaba servo wires This stuff cleaned & softened the wires. Its plastic vinyl insulation. NO negative effects years later.
