Reversing an S130

I need to reverse a Fut S130, I know you have to switch the wires on both the motor and the both outside connections on the pot, but is the S130 wired or is everything hard mounted into the board

RE: Reversing an S130

See if you can unsolder the motor and rotate the motor so the connection are reversed. Then change the pot wires (the two outside ones) and it should work.I did this recently with a 148 it had two screws holding the motor in so just remove them rotate the motor and put the screws back in.Pot and motor MUST be changed or it won't work !!!!!

It has to be wired, you can't hardmount mechanically stressed parts to a PCB without causing severe problems with vibration transfer.

RE: Reversing an S130

I believe since the late 80's Futaba servos were built using SMT (surface mount technology) where all componenets were mounted directly into the board.
