Can I use a JR receiver with a Futabe 9CAP

Will the combination work with a Futaba Crystal in the JR receiver??

If not, will it work with a JR Crystal?

RE: Can I use a JR receiver with a Futabe 9CAP

It will only work in the US if it is on 50MHz, and is NOT PCM. Who made the crystal is irrelevant - I don't know where folks get the idea that another vendors crystals will solve a problem - all it can do is introduce MORE, since it was not designed or cut for the correct receiver. Basically, in the US, Futaba decided to flip the bird to the rest of the planet and go negative shift. The rest of the planet (including Futaba) is positive, as is Futaba on 50/53 MHz in the US. Sorry . . .

Hold up, wait a second.....

A JR receiver will not work with a Futaba transmitter.... PERIOD!
You may be able to use a hitec, futaba, or multiplex receiver but not a JR or airtronic reciever.

Thanks Tim. That's what I thought.

Do a little reasearch, dude. On 50MHz, they are totally compatible - it is only 72 that Futaba deliberately broke. And the basic PCM differences, of course . . .
