Sheilded cable
HI all , can anyone see a problem arising with 20 gage 2 wire shielded plus on the outside of the shield, a ground wire. I have been using this cable for extensions up to 36" for quite a while now with JR PCM receivers and have never had a problem. I"m going to some 48" extensions so this is why I ask the question.

Is it much heavier?

I don't see a problem with doing it this way. All I would want to ask is why?

RE: Sheilded cable
HI Dirtybird, do you know a better way, I personally do not like having connections, so I usually cut the lead off the servo and run a new cable the exact lenght back to the receiver.I have a spool of 2 wire shielded cable,it has the ground between the shield and the outer covering, maybe I should get some 3 wire and join the black and ground at the receiver like I"ve read on other posts. Can some of you electrial experts chime in on this post.

HI, will the shielded cable stop some of the RF noise.

Why not just use the shield as the third wire? The shield needs to be connected to the negative somewhere. Might as well use it.
