8103

Great radio. I also have one of the older PCM 10's and the 8103 does everything it does, but is lighter and feels better in your hand. I have the digital trim version and love it. I haven't even thought of going for a new 10 channel. Tons of ability in the programming area. Easy to program. I put flaps on my Joss Stick and use the Ultra Stick crow programming. Works great. The heli guys in my club love it, too.

I agree, it's a great radio. Easy to program and does a whole lot of stuff other radios just won't do.

I also had older 10X and non-digital 8103. Now have the digital 8103 and would not part with it.

8103 Opinions

I have a 8103 Heli Digital Trim and I like it.....except I was pretty mad to discover that the trims for the flight surfaces (collective, cyclic & tail rotor in this case) do not 'include' when the throttle hold switch is operated. This means in helicopterese that when the throttle hold is operated for an autorotation that the heli will be major out of trim if you have forgotten to match them manually.
For heli pilots this is a major pain.....I would have thought that when upgrading this transmitter to digital trims that JR would have made this feature available.....it is one of the major advantages of digital/electronic trim on the better transmitters.
If anyone knows a secret way of doing this please let me know!
Cheers
Dave
