You might want to change this recommendation to ch 2 and 6 with mix. Actually, ch 2 and 7 would be better. I don't have my manual in front of me but if the Eclipse has an AILEVATOR function you might be able to use that.

so I use 2 for 1 half and 7 for the other? Do I just program a standard 2 masetr 7 slave mix or use the alevator? Does the eclipse have an Elevator?

Thanks

I suspect the Eclipse does not have an AILEVATOR function. If it did you would have to be able to set the airlon deflection to 0%. Both the Futaba 8AU and 9C do have that function.

An alternative is a PMIX between channel 2 and channel 7. You would want to set channel 2 as Master and channel 7 as slave. If your push rods are connected on oposite sides of these servos your relationship between master and slave is negative, i.e., set channel 7 to emulate channel 2 -100%. That would be the way to go to keep the geometry between the servos closer. If your push rods are connected on the same side of each servo then the emulate channel 2 would be set to +100%.

Make sure each pushrod connector is virtually identical in length and 90 degrees to the servo arm. Adjust mechanically as close as you can get and then set the subtrms to center. Deflect both elevator halves and watch were they go at their end points. Adjust the endpoints so they are identical. Make sure the servos are identical models. For most cases this is all you need and if there is a slight difference you can offset it with your airlon and/or rudder trim settings.

Sounds great you sound like you have done this before

Thanks

Actually I am just now working on my 1st implementation of my own (I actually stole these instructions) recommendation. I will be using the AILEVATOR function with my Futaba 9C.
