Futaba PCM

I have an old Futaba single stick FP-T8SSA-P radio set. I love it and it works really great. My question is .... Will this transmitter work with the new micro receivers. I was told that this transmitter is 512 something and the later stuff is 1024. What does this mean? If this unit is specific for the 128 receiver is there any other receiver Futaba or aftermarket that will work. I would like to use this transmitter on some new micro electric with new really light stuff.
Thanks Guys

RE: Futaba PCM

I don,t really know anything about that Tx. but that it will not be compatable with the newer 1024 Futaba PCM systems and there is no interbrand compatability with PCM systems so you will not be able to use any aftermarket Rx unless that Tx is also capable of FM(PPM) modulation which I suspect it will not do.
