Tracker III I have one. Any questions?

I have one of the first Tracker III's in the Country.:D Flew for 4 hours Wednesday. Worked "PERFECT"
It has a great feel to it with the new case. And the gimbels are first class. Flew 5 different planes all were setup at the field, only took minutes.

Everyone at my field checked it out and really like it. Most of them had me fly there planes with it. With all the features and the "Patented Scanner" this has got to be the deal of the century.

Just some of the features 99 model memory you can name all 99. 7 free mixes. Memory Stick for upgrades. Synthesized frequencies no crystals. Seeker reciever. Man it doesn't get much better then this.

Check out there site www.polkshobby.com

Oh one other thing if everyone had this radio with the scanner lock out nobody would be shot down by someone turning there radio on by accident.:D

Sounds great! I can hardly wait till mine arrives. Unfortunately, I think I ordered too late (April) for me to get one from the air freight shipment.

are the switches (dual rates specifically) assignable to one switch

You can assign all to one switch or break them up to any switch.

No thanks...I'll stick with my JR 9303. I already went down this road with a Tracker II when I sold my JR 8103 to get it...HUGE mistake!...I bought another JR 8103 after I got my money back from Polk's. Once bitten, twice shy!

Mean Gene,

What was the problem with your Tracker? Or can't you say, confidentiality and all that?

RE: Tracker III I have one. Any questions?

the JR8103 is a computerized radio, the tracker like the hitec flash 4,5 is a computer aided radio(limited) the tracker lll is to replace my flash 4,5
with some nicer features. my helis will still use my jr 8103 and my hi eclipse 7, real computerized radios...check out the owners manuel before buying or do enough research so you know what the radio will do, not what you hope it will do.

Don't go by the Tracker online manual as it is not complete. Hopefully in a very short while we will all know the T-III capabilities.
My Tracker II is a real computer radio with so-so mixing capabilities. Still more than basic computer radios. How many radios change the frequency and shift automatically when you select a model from memory?

Just a P.S., I think Polk's did completly miss out on the "MODE" thing (Aero, Heli, Sailplane modes).

RE: Tracker III I have one. Any questions?

Let's hear more. I need another transmitter. I have 2 Hites elcipes 7 now and just bought another plane and I have no open models on the Hitec's. Just sent email to Polks to ask If i can just buy the transmitter and not the receiver, servo etc.

No one around me has a Tracker so I can't get any feedback on it. Havent seen any reviews in RC mags either. From what I have read here is that the tracker III 8 channel is the way to go, I guess the tracker 6 channel was not so good.

I also have some confusion over the tracker II (?) and tracker III. My question is does the 6 channel Tracker have the same software/features as the 8 channel. I know the 8 channel has 99 model menory, but what about the rest?

Please advise.
