Problem with Futaba 7C and Hitec Electron 6 FM

I'm using a Futaba 7C TX with a Hitec Electron 6 FM (with a Hitec DC crystal) RX. Two Futaba S148 servos are plugged into the RX, and I'm using a Hangar 9 4-cell 700mAh battery. It worked fine for about half the day, during which time I turned both TX and RX on and off several times. Then it started acting like the RX battery was weak or there was interference. Both servos were twitching. I tried resetting the model programming on the 7C, but this had no effect on the problem. I discovered that moving the throttle stick up from idle made the problem stop, but there is nothing plugged into the throttle channel. Then I noticed that full right rudder (ch. 1) deflection resulted in full up elevator (ch. 2) deflection. I was able to work around the problem temporarily by adjusting channel endpoints so that the servo didn't travel far enough to cause the problem. This seems like a possible pulse width/framing issue. Any suggestions for diagnosing the problem, or should I just send the RX to Hitec for service?

Sounds like you have a mix turned on somewhere that should not be on. OR, you battery was weak.

I reset the programming and verified that all mixes were inhibited, but this had no effect on the problem. I also checked the battery voltage and it was good.

Last three thoughts, then I would say send the radio and receeiver to Hitec.

1) check to see that shift select is set properly for your receiver

2) Make sure you ahve not put the radio into PCM mode

3) Power off the radio. Remove the channel module. Reseat it. Power up.

That's all I have. Sorry!

Shift is not selectable on either the TX or RX.
I double-checked the modulation setting. I even cycled it to PCM and back to PPM.
I'll try reseating the TX RF module tonight. Thanks.

Sorry about the Shift select and TX module. Was thinking of an Optic 6.

Sounds like you will need service.

Wazmo - Were you in the hot sun when your problems started? Some Electron 6 Rx's have had problems with the heat. Do a search on it and I think you'll find out more about it.

Yes, this was in the afternoon sun on an 80+ deg F day. I haven't been able to reproduce the problem again at home.
