Question about R/C receiver output pulses

Does anyone know approximately how much current (amps) is present in the pulses that R/C receivers put out?

If there's a big variety, maybe you could tell me the current output for my receiver, a Hitec HFD-08RD.

Thanks,

Jason

I do not have access to a speck sheet on the typical decoders but I'm sure that the signal current output will be limited to just a few milliamperes as all they have to do is feed a high impedance amplifier in the servo electronics. This is probably limmited to about 20 to 50 milliamperes. Maybe someone who has access to that info will chime in here like maybe RadioSouth or ????.

Thanks for the reply. I actually got a chance to test the current output of the receiver by using a digital multimeter. The current was about 15 ma but fluctuated about 1 ma. For the record, this was on my HITEC HFD-08RD 8-channel DC receiver.

The short circuit current may be that many mA's, but the allowed logic level sink and source output currents are only 2mA. For more details, just review the data sheets to the decoder IC used in your Hitec Rx (e.g., CD4015 or CD4017).

Thanks Mr RC Cam, I really appreciate your inputs on the forum here as they are always pertinent and correct.

Where does one get such data sheets?

mr.rc-cam might have a better source but google does just fine for me...
