Futaba 8UAP for helis I'm New to this
 

Hello,
I have recently purchased a used heli with a ftp8uap tx. I am wondering what the difference is from the helicopter model and whether i should even try to learn to fly with this or should i get a helicopter radio. I've been told there is a difference but not sure what it is. I guess i'm wondering if i'll aquire bad habits using the wrong radio? I am hoping someone with some exp. can shed some light on this for me.

The only difference is that a "heli" version has no rachet on the throttle. Also some of the switch functions are in different locations. Otherwise, the software is exactly the same.

You can open up the back and remove the rachet from the throttle stick.
