MPX Cockpit - weird behaviour

Can anyone familiar with the mpx cockpit help with the following ?

A friend has just taken delivery of a mpx cockpit radio (v2 software I believe). His first setup is pretty simple - a foamie combat wing with two servos, using the delta mix (servos connected to channels 1 and 5 on the rx as per the manual).

I noticed some really weird things regarding the servo centering:
1) when you go into the servo menu, you have to hold the stick quite a bit to one side before the radio thinks it is centered (ie the little circle shows, rather than one of the endpoint symbols).

2) there is definitely a lot more actual servo travel on one side than the other.

3) the above problem only occurs for ONE of the TWO servos

4) if you change the mix from Delta-On to Delta-On(reverse elev), the problem servo changes from channel 1 to channel 5 !!!

5) even though the other channels are not in use, the same problem is visible on them as well (ie need to hold stick to one side in order to set the servo center).

Has anyone else seen this problem, and/or know what to do ? I hope I have explained it clearly....

thanks,
Geoff

Hello,
Did you performed stick calibration? If not, do that and problem should be solved.

Thanks for the hint. Without having the manual with me though, how do you calibrate the sticks ?
thanks,
Geoff

Not having manual with me either, this is how it should go:
1. go to "setup",
2. select "adj",
??
3. center all sticks and knobs,
4. press digi adjustor,
5. hold stick in one end position (eg. up) for 3 sec. and then in oposite position for another 3 sec.
6. repeat 5. for all sticks and knobs
7 exit setup
The ?? stands for unknown setup level, just can't remember if center and end adjustments are to be done in the same or on different setup screens.

Great, thanks - I'll give it a try tomorrow and see how I get on.

thanks again,

Hmm, calibration didn't seem to make any difference. For a more complete description of the problem, have a look at this thread

It looks like elevator or eleron stick is not centered, expo is on and/or trim is not on neutral.
