Where is the cheapest place for hitec digital servos? anyone lower than servo city? looking for 5645s, and they are $55 at servo city shipped.

First you need to understand M.A.P....
 

MAP (minimum advertised price). Dealers are NOT allowed to advertise prices lower than a certain amount even though they may sell it for less. So if you really want the best price you'll need to call or e-mail them; don't rely on the web-site prices.

With that said, check out Fields Hobby Send them an e-mail asking their prices and shipping costs. They were the lowest when I was shopping for servos last month.

There have been a lot of unexplained failures with Hitec digitals recently that is probably why easymoney posted his comment.

If you are not already aware there are several threads discussing the problems that people have been experiencing.

You may want to search for them and make up your own mind about their reliability.

As far as a good place to buy have you tried Servo City? I was under the impression that they would beat or match anybodys price but you have to call them

Thanks, servocity is the cheapest on some, not on others, chief is the cheapest on 5945s. As far as hitec is concernec, I have used them for a long time with no failures, I have shopped around, thought about using 8411s, but already have the aluminum servo arms for hitecs.
