servo reverse
 

I'm flying a trainer with futaba servos and a royal evo 9 transmitter. Today all the servos were fine, except the throttle servo seemed to reverse itself (first time problem with this plane after several flights). I reversed the servo at the transmitter and thought things were fine until I hit the throttle kill button and had the plane go to full throttle and try and kill my wifes car. Is this a servo or transmitter problem? I can't, or don't know how to change the throttle kill function. To me it seems like a receiver servo problem.

Servos cannot spontaneously reverse direction on their own. Receivers have no circuitry to alter the control signal so that the servo would suddenly start working in the opposite direction. The only place to look is in the transmitter.

Accidental mis-programming, bad memory chips, bad processor chips, and so on, all can cause such a difficulty.

Ooops. You're right. Some how I managed to switch throttle direction under control assignments (royal evo 9). I was programming another plane into my radio the other night and must have done it then. I've since switched it back. Easy fix, but man I struggled with that one for hours. Thank you.
