Hitec Eclipse 7 Elevon Mixing endpoints

Howdy! I have an aircraft which uses elevons. My Eclipse 7 drives the plane pretty well, but I've run across a problem I have difficulty sorting out. When I set the throws mechanically to give me the high roll rate I want, the elevator control is too sensitive to be a comfortable flyer. When I set the throws to the elevator response I want, of course, the roll rate isn't as high as I'd like it.

What I really want is for my elevons to be able to go full deflection on a roll, and only partial deflection in response to elevator controls. Basically, 100% aileron, and about 50% elevator. However, trying to set up endpoints only adjust the servo on a particular channel, not the intended control surface itself.

How do I set an endpoint so that it modifies the control surface deflection *after* the mix has occurred? On my Futaba 6exa, it was very intuitive; setting an EPA for elevator would adjust the throws of both control surfaces in the "elevator" direction, while retaining full aileron control. I like my Eclipse, but I'm so frustrated with trying to figure this bit out that I'm almost ready to go back to my Futaba!

Thanks in advance for your help.

RE: Hitec Eclipse 7 Elevon Mixing endpoints

I have a Eclipse 7 set up for elevons and it works very well, i use the dual rate fuction
so i can have high rates on elevator and low on ailerons as my plane has a very high
roll rate. i think my epa is set to about 90% for both ail and elv but i use the dual rate
to reduce the aileron throw, i think you find the setup almost the same if you use the
futaba radio.
