Why doesn't JR662 have proportional flap knob?
So I can only set flaps for one single position? What if you want approach/departure and landings settings like used in the big boys?
I am really surprised there is no proportional channel on this radio. |
Why doesn't JR662 have proportional flap knob?
I suppose that if they put lots of useful features in the entry level radios, then noone would buy the more expensive models.
I tend to the cynical side, so that may not be the real reason. The only ones that would really know are JR themselves. |
Why doesn't JR662 have proportional flap knob?
Yup, I've got the same problem with my JR XF631.
Didn't really think about it until sometime after I got the radio. If I'd thought about it in advance, I probably would've got the Futaba 6AS instead for the same money :stupid: You could try asking in the JR support forum if the switch can be swapped out for a dial....... |

uh, I'm planning to buy a Jr 662. Now I think I need to switch to the Futaba 6XAS...

Why doesn't JR662 have proportional flap knob?
Nice work Tig.
I still can't understand why a radio as good as the JR662 doesn't have a proportional channel...especially given that my Futaba 6YG has one and is only 170.00 bucks. The 631 I can understand but not the 662. |
Why doesn't JR662 have proportional flap knob?
scoooose me! that 631 cost over 200 bucks 18 months ago.. :D
Price has probably dropped a bit since they've brought out other radios.... Still no excuse though since Futaba and others provide a rotary knob for flaps for the same price Not sure about the digital rocker switches they provide on the 378 either, I might have to look into that..... |
