Hi everyone,

I just got an old plane with an Futaba FP-T6FG tx and an FP-R107Q rx. My questions is; does anyone have any refernce materials on this setup? In particular I am looking for settings pertaining to servo-travel length. There are 6 on/off switches in the rear of the tx, but I have had little luck in understanding their function(s).

So are there any manuals, reference guides, programmers guides, etc?

Hi,

Futaba has the manual for the 6FG on their web site: http://www.futaba-rc.com/manuals/index.html
It is a 2.2 meg download.

Now the manual is for the AM models and by the receiver model you mentioned, I believe you have an FM transmitter. Also, the manual is more for the G/K, G/E series rather than the plain G series.

I also have the FM model (and plain AM models too!) and those switches on the back are for servo reversing.

If you need me to look at something on my transmitters, I can do that for you.

Later!

Ok, I have played with it for the last hour. The elevator servo is fine, it has a full range of motion on any other channel. I have acertained it is either the Rx or the Tx that is having issues on channel 2. I put any other servo on channel two and I see the same problem, an extremely limited range of motion.

Here is pic of the insides of my Tx:

I tried the aforementioned manuals but they do not seem to match my Tx.

Thanks for any help.

IF THE PROBLEM THAT YOU HAVE IS IN THE THROTTLE, IT IS OK. THE THROTTLE STICK HAVE LIMITERS THAT REDUCE THE MOVEMENT AND THE TRIM ONLY WORKS IN THE IDLE POSITION, IF YOU MOVE THE TRIM COMPLETELY TO THE IDLE POSITION YOU WILL NOTICE MORE THROW.

The throttle stick the the left up-down stick right? the one that does not have a spring to return it to centre? cause if so it is working fine. I am talking about the right up-down stick, the one which springs to the middle position.

DOES THE RIGHT STICK MOVE MORE THAN THE LEFT? OR VICE VERSA?

IF THE RIGHT STICK MOVE LESS THAN THE LEFT THEN YOUR RADIO WAS MODE 1 AND WAS MODIFIED TO MODE 2, IN THAT CASE YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE LIMITERS FROM THE RIGHT TO THE LEFT STICK, IT IS NOT DIFFICULT TO DO IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, IN ANY CASE I RECOMMEND TO SEND IT TO FUTABA OR RADIO SOUTH.

This is a pretty old radio. I noticed on the one microchip it had a date code of 8501. First week of '85.

So is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Or should I just reverse the up-down stick for now?
