Hitec HS-81 on throttle?

In my 40 size GP extra, powered by a YS 63, would it be okay to use the Hitec HS-81 as the throttle servo?

Thanks for your help!

Hitec HS-81 on throttle?

As long as your linkage is free and smooth, yes it is ok. I have used several for this purpose.

Hitec HS-81 on throttle?

LOL, I just wasn't expecting this servo to be as small as it is. I ordered it a while back, and when I got it, it just looked to small for the application I'm using it in :D . Thanks for the help JLLayton.

Hitec HS-81 on throttle?

Th 81's aren't a bad little servo. Several of us used them on the primary control surfaces for 1/12 scale combat models and had very good luck.

Hitec HS-81 on throttle?

I use all mini's on throttles so save weight.

I have a HS-55 (even smaller than the 81) on the throttle of my U Can Do and it works great. Throttles take almost no torque as long as the linkage is FREE.
