Spektrum DX3R DSM2 3CH good?

I have been thinking about getting a Spektrum DX3R DSM2 3CH for my buggy and truck.
Has anybody had any expierence with it, and if so, what do you think of it?
I can get it with an extra free reciever for $319.
Is it any good?

I'm new to this forum and will also like to know if anyone has any experience with this radio in a gas boat. And if so, how was the range and functions?
