How did you fit your 9Z with the FASST module in to the original TX case?
 

I have just got the TM7 module for my 9ZWC2 and I am planning which modifications to make to the foam inside the case to accept the radio without taking out the TM7 module.

Any ideas?

No modifications to my 9Z case/foam. Just lay the antenna down flat along the top edge of the TX and put it in the case. Because of the extra depth of the TM-7 with the extensions on the back of the module to protect the antenna, it sits slightly higher in the case when inserted but the case top still closes without any issue.

Thank you, I will just add a couple of foam block to each side of the module to give extra support.

What have been your experienxce with the TM7 in the 9Z?

I have about 50 flights on the TM-7 in the 9Z. No problems at all. Prior to the 9Z, I flew it installed in a 7UAP for about 30 flights. Same thing, no issues at all. Love it.

I will be buying a TM-14 and R6014 soon. From what I hear via these discussion groups as well as personal contacts, it is working very well also.
