2.4 Receiver Compatibility
Does anyone know if you can mix and match 2.4 gear???? For example can I run a spektrum radio with an airtonics 2.4 GHz receiver?

RE: 2.4 Receiver Compatibility
No, all 2.4Ghz systems are proprietary, just like the old PCM receivers[&o]
BTW, do you fly with the Pine Barren Modelers? Pete |
RE: 2.4 Receiver Compatibility
For now, you need to stay with the same manufacturer's Tx/Module and Rx. Spektrum Rx's work with Spektrum and JR 2.4 Tx's. JR 2.4 Rx's work with Spektrum and JR 2.4 Tx's. There may be some low end Spektrum Rx's that won't work with higher end Spektrum and JR 2.4 Tx's.

RE: 2.4 Receiver Compatibility
With the exception of JR & Spektrum, all receivers are brand specific, that is they are not compatable with other manufacturers transmitters. With JR/Spektrum, DSM2 Tx's are backward compatable with DSM receivers, but the DSM Tx cannot be used with DSM2 Rx's.

RE: 2.4 Receiver Compatibility
There are a number of threads I have been reading, on RCU, extolling the virtues of the 2.4 Airtronics radios. It sounds like they have a good start.
