Replacement gears for S9304
 

Need to find replacement gears for a Futaba S9304 servo. I believe this servo is discontinued. They have a S9303 and S9305 servos and the replacement gears for these are discontinued also. They do offer a replacement set http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXH406&P=Z . Would this be a replacement for the S9304 servo as well ?

Look on Futaba's site for the servo charts. Find a current servo that is the same size andclose In/oz specs as your 9304. Then look at the gear set for it. Chances are good that it is the same set. I fly a lot digitals, but I've found that the gear set for them is the same for a number of older servos. I wouldn't try to use a set that I didn't know was formy servo. The experment isn't worth a plane.

Ijust went to Futaba's servo list http://www.futabarc.com/servos/discontinued-servos.htmlthat suggest a 9202 as a replacement. Ichecked towers 9202 servo listing http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...TM0090&P=Z and then selected "parts Listing" It shows up with this page http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...TM0090&P=Z If you look at the servo gear set , http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...LXH405&P=Zand then scan down to the where used area, Wala, it includes the 9304. They are still avaiable. You have to hunt, but they are usually there if you follow the replacement servo link on the discontinued servo chart.
