Just looking for a nice place to take my 3year old son so he can watch me run my lil'nitro truck/buggie.
Any suggestions?
I am not real sure about Compton.. I just moved here from Oklahoma and have been running into some very rude people once they see my tags are "Southern"
Thnkx.

The two tracks I go to are
[link=http://www.hotrodhobbies.com/]Hot Rod Hobbies[/link]
and
[link=http://www.kzspeedway.com/racepage.htm]KZ speedway[/link]
Hot Rods is more of a 10th scale truck and buggy track(Saugus about a 45 min drive)
KZ is a very big track best suited for 1/8th scale, they just started the race program back up after ownership issues(Sun Valley, about a 30 minute drive)
both are a little bit of a drive for me, I'm by LAX too
your Okie plates will fit in fine

See ya

Well, I broke down today and went to the track in Compton. Not really a big track but it looks like a somewhat ok place to learn on. I ran my RC10GT on the road track they have and man that thing zoooooms.
I went to the dirt track and hit one of the barriers at a very slow speed and broke the tie-rod thing on the right side in the front so I gotta replace that in the morning. It was plastic anway so I am going to hit up HobbyPeople and buy some quality parts .
Anywho,
the guys that run the track in Compton are rather nice. I ended up buying a membership.
hasta.

Give pit stop rc in santa barbara a call. They place the emphasis on fun and most of the real high level "less patient" drivers stay away. You can find them on the links page at www.1stplacerace.com
