Default Good bashing spots in Southern California? 818 or 805?

Looking for some good off roading spots out in the Valley area. I heard of a BMX track or something out in the Simi Valley area, I've also heard Hot Rod Hobbies in Palmdale is a good race place, but my "skills" are far from race - ready.

I'm in Woodland Hills. Looking for something wide open with some jumpies for the Savage and some nice dirt for the MT2.

Where do you local guys go?

i've only been to KZ on Saturday & Sunday they race there Saturdays from 10 till about 3pm still a lot of people there on Sundays not sure about weekdays. You should cruise up to Freedom park in Camarillo they just re-did the track and a major race was held there last Sunday. The track is in a park so there is no charge to run there they run races Friday nights & Saturdays are pretty much open for anybody to run. People there are not real serious so everybody is welcome. Take the 101 North over the grade to Carmen Drive go over the freeway towards the ocean turn right on Pleasant Valley road & take the last entrance into the Camarillo airport you will see the track on the right

All the local tracks are great!!
KZ now known as SVS aka Sun Valley Speedway, and Hot Rod's especially

A spot you might like is the Sepulveda Basin, It's a RC Airplane field In VanNuys
A bunch of the Airplane guys out there bash their cars and trucks in the open feilds, they kinda just race/bash around. It's a cool spot if you're not looking for serious "track" time.

Loacted here oops bad link

Last time I was there I went into the park off of Balboa and on the immediate right there is a large dirt lot which was sufficient for the Savage. I dont like having to park in the first tho [&:]

Are you taking about the area just west of the lake?
if it's the same spot,,that would be a great spot for a play track
If I lived out there I'd petition the park to put in a small informal track
