Default New track in Oberlin Ohio

Sorry if this is in the wrong category.
I went to a new track in oberlin ohio last sunday. It' still new but looks like it's going to be real nice. There is a oval and a dirt track right now. There is a nice drivers stand that is in between both tracks. They have plans of building a freestyle area also. They have plenty of room to expand and staff is real friendly. If you get time go check it out.

I was there today for around 5 hours. There was 2 other savages and one revo and one 1/8 buggy. Also several 1/10 th buggys. Track was fun. even ran the oval today. Would have done better with other tires. The buggy only got me by a small amount because of my traction problem. I did blow the front diff then added the 4 spyder mod while there. At the end of the day I bent a shock rod and finished the day. If you get a chance to check it out you'll have fun. Maybe see ya there.

sounds good, I checked out the site you linked. I'll have to check hours of the hobby shop. I'd like to race, but really don't have anything worthy of racing yet. What I 'd like to do is race the electric monster truck against all the nitros.....

Right now its just fun racing. The track will probably be in full swing next season. So now you can get all the track time you want. They have frequency cards for radio use and a nice staff running the place.

They have a oval and off road course.
first races of this season start in august.

You really don't have to race just come out and have fun. Friday evenings are good as well as saturday without racing just fun running.

I am not affiliated with the owners or have any intrest in posting this except letting people know of another place in ohio to race or bash.

Its a nice place to race or run your truck. Still slightly slow with how many people show up to race but it has been getting better. Weather permitting I will be there sunday. Track opens at noon for practice. Last weeks racing was not to good with a bad turnout but look to see more this week.

The hobby shop has quite a few parts in stock for most trucks and some buggys. They do ask for failsafes to be installed and they have them for sale if you need one or you can get one where ever you wish. Stop up and say hi even if you are not going to race and check it out. Nice people run the track and shop.

Thanx for the reply. Looks like a sweet track.
I ended up racing @ K&B last sunday. Not the best turnout either. I got
thrown in with the truggies.[&o] They spanked me but still I made it to the
A-main.

I hope they allow mechanical failsafes at xtreme?

Yes that was me. I went racing yesterday but I'm still having problems getting my WASP .28 to run properly. Going to go out today and try to work it out around home. Was nice to meet you and talk some. Hope to see you next sunday.

Might be slightly off-thread, but does any other Buckeye in this thread know of a track or two farther south? I'm just getting into racing (1/10 EP buggies) and I can't find a single track around Cincinnati, or even Dayton. Columbus is a bit of a haul, but I'd even be willing to drive that far if need be (though not nearly as frequently).

I think it going to be for trucks and truggies only. It is best to call them for sure. come on out and check the fun out if it doesn't rain this coming weekend.

We are from the Elyria/Oberlin area. This track is now undergoing a large expansion. If it ever stops raining here in Ohio they might actually get something done. We are new to RC trucks & can't wait for this to open. We haven't checked out the one in Medina yet either.
