I don't even think about the money.
Just getting to a B main would be great considering there are 75 other drivers. I talked to Homer and he said the 'Joe' class was full and there are 20 spots left in the 'Pro', which by the way calls the open class now because there are no 'Pro' drivers starting.

I managed to get a 'rookie' pit crew to come with me and I'll go up there Friday to figure out how many laps/tank or mins/tank I can do.

I thought about sponsoring Scott in that race and doing the pit crew thing. I think we could have made some money.

Chris- your best bet is to just have your pit man time 5min and tell you to come in for fuel. Scott and I found out the hard way about trying to go longer. Besides in a long race its about finishing. Just go at a nice pace, dont wreck or break. You will be surprised at how many will drop out from running to hard. Also run the motor a little on the rich side. The heat is going to build up on a long run.

That's probably a good idea. 5 mins is easy to time too, especially for a rookie crew like us. [sm=thumbup.gif]
Just like you said I saw so many drivers wrecking and breaking stuff at the last race. They were driving their buggies like they were stolen.

The track is real nice and even so it will be a lot easier to get a nice rhythm going. The jumps are high but very consistent and smooth.

Yeah, at Homers the fastest guy dosnt win... he breaks. His jumps are just perfect. You take them nice and easy and you just flow across them like rolling over a hill. Its like you never left the ground. Remember slow is fast!
If you go over 5min on the pits you over heat the engine(due to leaning out) or run out of fuel. Either way you risk cutting off and a hot start is a hard one. Especially for a rookie crew.

Oh by the way, I made a couple of orders tonight. Got a new buggy on the way. Needed a back up for the Xray.
For anyone interested I will be selling the Jammin buggies after I get them set up right. They just have so much steering I need to get them planted. I am planning on that project for this weekend. I wont sell them until they are hooked up.

WOW -- $100 entry fee! You may have to camp out over night there to be one of the first 50 to enter.

Hey Kevin --- I may be interested in one of the buggies -- let me know what you asking price is going to be this weekend... not sure when I'll have the extra cash as I have to pay for Aaron's Dinnig Hall bill at JMU for next semister some time this week.

Christian -- if you go to the race have a blast!

Thats how I'll go through college, heck I'm not a big eater anyway. I'd rather have the $1200 of spending money.

hhhmmm a loaf of bread and some tuna maybe a bag of chips...... that is something that I can afford. He is drinking too much beer up there anyway -- needs to go on a diet, so maybe this is a better way

A bigger track would be nice -- but the new lay-out is good too! Sounds like they hauled a lot of dirt!

Apparently there are some weak stomachs out there. I LIKE pickled herring. But since I am from the backwoods of Missouri and we eat most anything that doesn't eat us first.....

OK - just put my banjo up for sale in the newspaper -- when it is sold I can get a new buggy.

Hey Kevin - want to trade that pro buggy for a GREAT banjo?[sm=bananahead.gif]

Despite an extensive knowledge of suspension geometry and living for racing I have found a replacement for Lil Stampy. In addition this person will inherit the SCS sponsorship. We just can't back a third place buggy. It is the whole risk/reward thing you know.

Joel I just dont see me playing a Banjo. Im just not a HeeHaw kind of guy.

I guess now little stampy is back among us regular joe racers? So does this mean we have to change little stampys name?
I vote for Super Dave! I think it kind of sings.

Matt Im sorry. I thought Scott already gave the buggy to Joel to give to you. I didnt know you were still waiting for it. Thats why I suggested fixing it at home.

No problem, making the repairs on site shouldn't be to much of a hassle.

Super Dave is good it makes me sound better then I really am . I'm trying something new with diff oil on my buggy thats closer to "normal" I just put 3k in the front and rear and still have 10 center. Can't wait to see how it turns out and I'm gunna love the new layout on the track this Sunday. If its rough enough I can take out the badlands and throw some rocks at people.
