At the risk of offending Mr. 503, it occurs to me, to paraphrase Winston Churchhill:
Never has someone paid so much to so many and to achieve so little.

Scott, I have 1 maybe 2 more classes to attend and then I should get my diploma but its difficult to learn. The teacher wears dark sunglasses and it hard to tell what the hell he is talking about. He does have an "i'm an expect, racing is my life" poster hanging up so I guess that means he knows what he is talking about.
The class moto is "I beat Scott and can teach you how to do the same with a few lessons in suspension geometry and weight placement management, sign up today!"

Ya know Bill unlike most people when I win like I did last Sunday I get quiet now that I know what I have. Sense you are pushing the issue now that wont be the case. I would be very happy to help you with your learning disability with these buggies but you just seem to be to challenged. Even if you did learn I don't think anything can make up for your terrible driving either so I'll just have to fail you for the year. Your actions seem to remind me of someone. Thats it! When I was that bad I always talked some kinda crap about the driver I couldn't beat either!

Great pictures Christian!
now boys --- if you can't get along we'll just have to feed Mr. 503 some beef jerky and let him sit on top of you for a while [X(]...now I know that would be cruel and unusual punishment...but if you can't get along and take it easy and be laid back (like Kevin) well then that is what you are going to get
Can't wait to start working on my new buggy. Scott let me drive his 777 for a couple of laps on Sunday and the buggy just seems lighter and handles much better and it flies level (something my ofna won't do).
So is everyone heading over to Stampy's to SEE WHO THE NEW EMPLOYEE is

Awesome pics Christian, sounds like some intence racing went on. To bad RC car racing isn't broadcasted on TV on a usual basis, maybe Nascar made some deal behind closed doors that we don't know about.
Anyway, although my buggy crapped out, last weekend was a blast. I've still yet to take it apart though, been busy searching for a job. So far it looks like I may get a job at the Radioshack located at Pantops. [8D]

Bill it would get pretty boring without jokes but when you repeat the same thing over and over constantly that just gets on my nerves.
Very nice pictures Chris. Maybe we should all go down there one weekend to race one of the cheaper events.

Maybe you guys just need to put on the boxing gloves and go at it. Would make a nice attraction at the shop. Early line is FishGuy 8:1 favorite.

SMan -- that is great news! Looking forward to seeing it and what the differences are between the SP1 and the regular kit.
OK gentleman.... the line starts here - one of those 777's is mine!

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread
Comparing the SP1 to the K3 just based on 'goodies provided' and not performance it's obvious that newer stuff are always made cheaper, saving money where possible.
The K3 comes with a full set of titanium screw, SP1 has normal steel.
K3 has a nicely milled out chassie, SP1 does not but they are both hard anodized.
The inner block holding the upper front arm is 7075 aluminium on the K3, on the SP1 it's plastic but with adjustments for (I guess) caster when switching between 20 and 22 deg hub carriers.
Many nice blue anodized F/H washers has been eliminated.
SP1 and K3 both come with universals.
Besides these differences it looks great. The guy included a pipe which he thinks is a NovaRossi (no markings on it) and a set of Kyosho Micro X SS (W-5650SS) tires and a painted Crowdpleaser 2.0 body (not original).
The buggy is brand new but assembled so I'm going to break it down and check everything.

Chris- without looking at it I would guess its the same as some other buggies. It should be to raise or lower the inner hinge pin to change the front roll center.

It dosnt have more than one hole in the shock tower? Wait dosnt it use plastic bushings in the tower? If so then its like my XB8 which uses different bushings that raise or lower the front pivot point of the hinge pin. Ive looked at Scotts but honestly cant remember the 777's setup.

Yes it uses plastic bushings.
Just found another part that's been made cheaper. You remember when we crashed on the straight and you bent the block holding the lower hinge pin? That holder is plastic on the SP1 but thick aluminum on the K3.
Honestly I think the K3 is a much higher quality kit and the $600 - $700 the SP1 normally retails for is way to high for what you get. I was expecting the same goodies as on my K3 but I can't be disappointed, $430 shipped is hot. I look forward to driving this.
Maybe now is a good time to take out the credit card and get some upgrades.

Yeah, it's a nice kit BUT it doesn't make much sense to switch brand since many spares still are the same. It would just be more expensive to get spares for two completely different cars.
Sorry for bringing that up. [&o]

Heck just sell the 777. It seems everyone wants one now. Besides you can get a XB8R for $490. Just a thought.
