Default Las Vegas Bashers!!

New to nitro R/C, bought a Revo about a month ago, and looking for a regular bash session. I live central to everything so location shouldnt be a problem.

Thanks,

Tod

Thanks man,

I plan on heading out to silverbowl on Monday morning. They have Winter Windup going on at the on-road track right now, and the off road is closed. Sunday is the last day though.

Today, I spent about an hour over at the silverbowl on road track, watching the races. I'm not sure I would be able to handle one of those cars goin' that fast!!

After that I headed out and found a place to bash....ended up hitting a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground, and broke a front half shaft. This gave me an opportunity to visit Danseys, since I hadn't been there yet, and was kind of in the neighborhood....

Nice people at Danseys, I picked up a half shaft, and drove across the street to Finishline to do repairs. I met one guy (though I failed to get his name) and his 2 kids, and spoke with him for a minute.

I had intended to practice a little....alas, all at once, a wire broke off of my EZ start, and my reciever batteries decided they had no juice left.[sm=angry.gif]

Bah!....I had to work in an hour anyways....[sm=tired.gif]

The track looked nice though! And everyone was friendly. I think I'll make Finishline my Saturday morning routine.

Looking forward to meeting some of you,

Thanks,

Tod

The Silver Bowl Track is fun I used to try and get out there every Monday late morning early afternoon. I did find a good bashing spot near there. Not a lot of trash on the ground, with a hill with a lot of jumps and stuff like that. Only problem I found about that place is there is a lot of fine dust so keep your air filter clean and on! From the off road track head now Russell to the silver bowl and make a left (north) and then turn right after the silver bowl but before the practice field. Go down past the silver bowl and the R/C Air Strip and make a right and go behind the silver bowl and turn left a at the next road stay to the right and head towards the park there keep going around that and stay heading east and you will be on a dirt road that directs you to the Archer range and just before it on your right there is the hill and the open space. I know it read like it is hard to get there but it is super easy. But it is a nice little place to bash. Maybe I will see you out there some time at the Silver Bowl track or the “Bashing hill†my son calls it.

Ya know......I got just past the airfield to the gate on thursday, but I turned around, and headed back. Next time I'll continue, and who knows!!

I forgot that I'm starting school again after 7 years on Monday. I'll probably head out to the silverbowl early afternoon Monday.

Thanks for the spot man! Hope to see you out there!

Thanks,

Tod

I run a Revo also. Tho i no longer have the ez-start system since having put a hole in the casing from a tumble off a mountain. lol I Tend to run in my neighborhood as there is usually construction going on somewhere near to ramp off of. Recently Some1 told me that he takes his truck to the local skate park(s) and jumps there, The kids(teens/whatever) he said tend to like to watch and dont much care. So I may check that out this weekend since my truck is still in a working condition

Made the rounds today....First, Finishline, to say Hi to Tigger and Bennie, and to watch for about an hour. I'd still love to pick up a buggy[>:]

Then I was off to the off road track at Silverbowl, where I met up with a couple of guys with Revos' that I have seen off and on weekends, and a guy with an MGT that was having problems. I went home after about an hour, having broken a driveshaft. Still had a great time though.

I did pull off my first backflip today!!....along with a ton of 1.5 and .5 flips Revos' are TUFF!! I didnt have any breakage due to aerials..

The track was a little ratty and in disrepair, but a good place to bash.....

Thanks,

Tod

By the way, there are photos on the other thread. I left early too after frying a servo and having transmitter issues--of all the times not to take one of my minis and my Futaba T3PK (I would have had a spare transmitter and receiver).
