Default V.O.O.R. Vicksburg Outdoor Offroad Raceway racers

V.O.O.R. Vicksburg Outdoor Offroad Raceway racers (Vicksburg, MI)

Here is a google map to the location: http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q...+Vicksburg,+MI

Who is going to the night race on the 24th? Should be pretty cool, i just found out about this track, its a ROAR track, and its located 8 miles from me. Should be a pretty good turnout, plus its a night race (stadium lights and all that jazz) and its a cash payout race! I am psyched, if any of you are somewhat close i would reccomend coming out!

Here is a CGI image of what the track looked like several years ago (i am sure its much different now, but i havent been able to take a look as they are only open on race days)

If anyone wants more info, just let me know and i will send you the flyer with the schedule via email.

It might not have made the flyer as it looks like he has been using the same one since 2001! But i asked the same question and he said for sure there is a nitro MT class and its the biggest turnout alongside the buggies

Well, i got a slightly different response than you, when asking about nitro MT's. Heres the e-mail.

Matt,
We do not use transponders. I score manually with autoscore. I've been
doing it for 12 years, so it's pretty accurate.
We have not seen any nitro trucks yet this year, BUT a nearby nitro-popular
track has just closed (R+L hobbies) for zoning reasons. I do not know how
far you will be driving. Maybe you have some electric stuff as well?
The mains will start about dusk (9:15pm) and should wrap up by 10:30. Mains
are 5 minute for electric and 8-10 minute for gas.
Track surface is 50/50 sand/loam. step pins always work.
As for rules, we are a roar track - so stay as close to roar guidelines for
1/10 gas as possible. tank size doesn't really matter. In the past the gas
racers themselves would decide (vote) for the length of main.

Hope to see you at the track

Kevin
