Hopefully you're not a 15 year old freshman. That would be scary. Good luck on the backyard track. That sounds like fun. I've never built my own track but have done some yard work that required me to have a flat ground surface after digging up the grass. I rented a plate compactor from Home Depot and that thing works like magic. It's this big heavy box that compacts the ground underneath you so it's flat and smooth. You can rent it from Home Depot for about $40 for 4 hours. Hope that helps.

I am very new to the rc nitro community but i might be able to help. I live in the las fores apartments and there is a great straight track to get you nitro up to top speed behind my place, track runs about 10 miles long along the oniel national ridge, second if you take trabuco road and make a left on lake forest road ( going up the hill) make a right where the carls and am pm is and follow that till you get to a park on the right, there is a fenced off area on the left with a full track and jumps, says private prop but just go for it, the other is off peachwood and lake forest, all the hobby people run heli and planes but very fun for bashing! big jumps!

Hey there!

I recently got back into RC cars again.  There used to be a really cool dirt track in Aliso Viejo, about 5 years ago.  I was looking for it today but couln't remember where it was. I know it was next to a school bus lot (school buses parked).  Does anybody know if it is still there?  If so what streets?

Thanks so much!

Hey guys, I just found a cool spot. Iwas on my way home from work the other day.Saw these guys flying RC Jet's.Off Bake and Orchard ( just a little street). As I venture up there Ifound a really big dirt idea. There are a few jumps and somewhat of a track. Iwent back there today and wrecked my Nitro truck (Isuck at driving). Iam not sure if the place is in Lake Forest or Foothill Ranch. But it's across the street froma Nursery, by Home Depot

There is a big dirt area, the place for cars is in the back.  You have to park in the little business area, and walk up the little hillside to the dirt lot's.  It's kinda hard to explain.

OK - just found a cool bashing spot map - courtesy of socal-rc.com - give it a few moments to load all the way.
Check out our pics and videos from RCX 2010 @ www.10thscale.com
