Where do you race in Dallas?

Would like to find out to. I want to race my Losi XXXNT but the only track I have found is at Mike's Hobby and it is Electric Off-Road only. My next purchase next paycheck is an off-road electric just so I can race. Backyard bashing is fun but gets old with no point and no one to run with cause they can't afford it.

Next race is 08/23/03 Show up at 8:00 Am and help set up the track if you want to. Practice / racing starts at about 9:30 with registration. Eletric and Nitro classes both. $10.00 to race includes transponder. Expert, Intermedit and Novice classes.

This Sat. at Hobbytown USA, Lewisville they are having a "practice day" ($5.00). You can find direction on their web site. (Search Google. com)
Also there is a track in Plano called TnT, one in Mid Cities area and one in Garland.

I live in downtown Dallas.

Also last Sunday I went to TnT in Plano (Parker (?) and Ave K). Good racing,but you have to be a ROAR menmber to race.

ive never raced before what kind of setup do you bring to one of these tracks? ie stock or mod

and is there a club for electric cars or rc cars in general in the metroplex

stock, mod what ever. Mostly just show up and have fun. Hobbytown, Dallas is racing this Sat. Track set up is at 8:30 and race starts about 9:30 "ish"

Might bring a chair to sit on when working on your car

Go to Indy RC World in Garland. They have an Indoor offroad track and it's only $5 to practice on it all day. Thay hold dirt oval races on Friday nights and offroad races on Saturdays. On-road racing is on weekends at that 75 & Walnut Hill hobbytown.
