Default Gauging Interest in 1/10 Scale Electric Racing In Lake Charles

Ihave a friend who is considering opening a track for 1/10 scale electric racing (along with possible other classes) in Lake Charles, Louisiana. I am trying to gauge interest for him to see if it would be worth it or not.

Default RE: Gauging Interest in 1/10 Scale Electric Racing In Lake Charles

Before Rita hit there was a track in the Sweetlake area. Me and a buddy went alot. There were always a few people there, but when they held races it was pretty full. They had an indoor and outdoor track. If you've been in this a while you probably know where I'm talking about. I don't see why it would be any different now. As long as you get the word out and maybe open a little shop to get parts. As you know there isn't a whole lot to do here other than seeing a movie or going to the casino. I guess it would depent on the location, how much land was involved, and how nice the facility is. Is he just interested in rc cars and trucks or would he do something for pilots too? My wifes cousin has a little truck that just sits there because there isn't anywhere to run it around here other than in his yard. Let me know if he's going to do something and I'll help get the word out.
