Default Short Course racers in South Jersey

I am looking for some racers in South Jersey. I am in the process
of building a club sized offroad track in my yard, In Galloway.
The track will be large enough to run 10-12 trucks at a time, 8 foot wide
lanes, and plans are in the works for an I-lap timing and scoring system.
There is enough room for pits and easy ups. The only class that has been talked about is 2wd Spec Short course. I
am open to other classes as long as they are electric (don't want neighbors angry). I will post more info as
it becomes available. I will also post length and width of track area as soon as i measure it.

As of now we are hoping for an opening date of mid to late april, for track testing
and test and tune. The schedule looks to be Every other weekend starting after
the 2 weeks of test and tune.Actual race days will be set according to racers schedules,
and can be changed between saturday and sunday. The track barriers will be constructed of
wood and corrugated pipe. There will be an elevated drivers stand 3-4 foot high.
All drivers will need a personal transponder. scoring system will most likely be
Robitronics or I-lap. final decisions will be made well before opening race. I would
love to get an AMB but it is out of my reach at this time.

I would like to see the following classes:

Short Course Spec
Short Ourse Open
2WD Spec (ST and Buggy)
2WD Open (ST and Buggy)
4WD Buggy
4WD short course
Electric MT

Keep us posted on your progress and scheduling. Definitely interested in new locations to race. There are three (3) of us in Carneys Point that I know of, that travel for races. Post some pics if possible so we can get a leg up on the competition.....LOL.....javascript:void(AddText(': D','_image/s2.gif'))

The measurements I have taken are the track fits in an weird area
50 feet wide and 90 feet long at the top 50 feet wide on the bottom.
400 foot lap length. I made a picture but I am not an artist, the
track will be much better. The layout is temporarily done with
old tires and and scrap wood, when the weather gets better and
my buddy gets home from his tour we will start laying the track
out in a permanent fashion. I will say that I can run my Savage 4.6
and have no problems on the track, I just can't wind it out.

UPDATE

The track has moved to another part of the yard. it is now a 90x40 foot layout.
I lad the track out with caution tape to get a feel of the size and driveability.
The size is good, 10 foot lanes, and a 90 and 70 foot straight. This weekend
we should be starting to lay the corrugated pipe, I have 6 tons of dirt waiting
and it will be used for the jumps and obstacles.

Before we actually race we will have a weekend or two of practice. Come down
and have some fun with the rustler (no Nitro) and we will see when we start racing
what kind of classes we get. I am putting together a brushless 10th scale buggy
and would love to see a vintage class. I have an original Optima I am dying to race.

Looks like it will be a sweet track.

Just googling to find places to run cars for me and my son.  (I live in Northfield).  I don't think either of us are ready for serious competition though lol.

Running 2 minislash VXLs and soon adding a brushed Stampede.

Just be carefull of traffic and parking as this is what usually P's off the neighbors. That is what I was told killed are track in central NJ. Keep it clean and respectful. Try to get the neighbors kids involved if possible to keep them at beigh. GOODLUCK on the track!
For all the folks coming down remember you are an adult and at someones home! Be respectful! I have seen too many times where a few idots screw it up for everyone. It is supposed to be fun. Good luck! Hammerdown!
