http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/105231/

it looks like they changed the body, bigger diff cups and dog bone's,bumpers and wheels and tires.

not sure but i think the steering servo is new too.

huntinman 11-25-2010 10:37 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

that's the steering servo my T came with and I have nip on the wall as backup, those dogbons look huge but they are the same chrome stuff that the currant ones are, not heat treated like those phatdad bones you got Mike. but it's still a 5t. we could easly convert ours over if we wanted. hey check out the dotd at daves http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...sn/biggrin.gif.

Too cold yesterday for the plastic? Or was it a day of mayhem?

I thought about driving out there, but need to stay close to home for a while longer - Lianna had surgery on both of her feet the 19th so I am here taking care of things.

I hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving day.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

trackman 11-28-2010 11:39 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

happy holidays to you to joel. hope the wife is ok. it was a little cold and windy, but the body has taken so much abuse its on its last leg. ive gotten my moneys worth out of this one. time to put on the new body.

huntinman 11-28-2010 03:04 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

hey Joel happy holidays to you. like Scott said it was a little chilly but the wind was blowing non stop, I was good for about a ten minute run and that was it. Scott's 5t body was falling apart as he was running, he went into a turn and lost a whole back quarter panel on one side :)

slicks 11-29-2010 07:06 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

Do those gassers run poorly in the cold weather like the nitro engines do?

Sounds like an interesting day at the track for you guys.

trackman 11-29-2010 12:05 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

no joel my seemed like it was flying. tune and forget it. thats as easy as it gets.

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

hey david is busy this coming weekend. but the next weekend we are planning to move the drivers stand. ill try to get it ready this weekend. need to scab some boards on it to sturdy up the legs. figure out a way to get some runners on it. hes going to use that rollback that he had this past weekend.

fourwheels0 11-30-2010 07:50 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

cool. i'll stop by and help get it ready.

fourwheels0 12-01-2010 07:34 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

hey joel hope your thanksgiving was good.

the 5th scales seem to run good in any weather.
in colder temps you may have to richen them up a tad but nothing like nitro's lol.

Thanks Mike - yep had a very nice and quiet Thanksgiving day.

Are you guys moving the drivers stand from Scotts house out to the place on Celt road? Did I read that correctly?

fourwheels0 12-03-2010 11:28 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

yes joel you read that correctly lol.
since no one comes out to scott's and races anymore and we need a driver stand at the new track we figure why not just move the one we have already.
