slicks 11-20-2010 03:59 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

Wow mike! Where did you find that stuff? Can you still get tubes?

Some of those old tube systems had a great sound!

fourwheels0 11-20-2010 09:26 AM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

joel i found this stuff at an auction. i walked right by it at first. it was in an old Victrola cabinet that someone updated back in the 50's lol.
yes you can still get tubes no problem.
the tube sound has a nice warm, rich sound to it.
this is only a 12 watt amp but it sounds great.

You've noticed the team-corr.com site is gone. The domain name is still OK so it must be the hosting that gone. It was free and it was good but it seems the owner decided to cancel the free hosting.
Sorry.

In case anyone wonders where the he** I've been. Well, still in CV but I put the cars on the shelf at least for now. The interest is just not there and it was time to take a break. Maybe maybe next year...

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

Hey Christian! Glad to hear that you are still alive and ok. I know what you mean about loosing interest, sometimes hobbies run their course. I know it did for me - but I still enjoy watching them run. The 5th scale gassers are way cool -expensive but cool!

fourwheels0 11-20-2010 05:14 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

mike did you buy a gallon of paint for it?:D
hey christian how you been? its been a long time. i know what you mean by losing interest, i dont think we
ran any nitro this year. ran the slashes for a while, we converted the 1/8 to electric and ran them some.
all we do now is run the 1/5 scales. these are like drugs, very addictive. but a blast!!!!! come by and see us.

fourwheels0 11-20-2010 05:56 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

it looks like that the rear of the body is really low. is the exhaust going to hit the body back there? or will it drag the ground when the suspention bottoms out?

trackman 11-21-2010 05:59 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

ernie i feel bad that you keep breaking stuff and i dont..........well,not really.:D

fourwheels0 11-21-2010 06:16 PM

RE: Charlottesville Racers Thread

ernie the back is trimmed now so no worries there but the paint looks like crap once again.
i guess i need to test the durability of it so it does show so much.
