Lets talk DURATRAX. post up the pictures of Your DuraTrax Street Force GP and tell what hopups you got on it so every one can look and learn. I have a question. What other suspension except the duratrax one would fit on Street Force GP?

Hay Digi16v Did you order the protech parts from http://www.krikke.net/ they are the only site I have found the parts, and was woundering how there service was, sometimes shoping overseas can be a real pain. Im selling my SFGP to my neighbor but if he wants parts for it I can tell him were to get the "Bling Bling" kind
And for those that havent figured it out Protech is the overseas name for most Duratrax products, I just cant figure why they get the good stuff and not us LOL

Hi to all, i'm new to this forum, and i'm from Italy, so forgive my poor english
I found this thread, and since i own a SFGP, i can tell you some thing.
I was the first to notice that protech car tech12 is the same as SFGP.I don't know why, but they are identical.
So i buy some aluminum hops ups, and they work great!
Then i wrote an email to krikke.net webmaster's, to tell him to put on his website a little advice about what i discovered. So he added the advice,"also suitable for Street force gp".

I'll try to post some pics of my hopped up SFGP in the next days...

YEAH,you can use the compressed air.
but all i use is a rag and a tooth brush.
as to the dude in ITALY, thanks for finding out that protech and duratrax are the same company, its just too bad that they dont sell these parts in the US. they would sell alot since the duratrax car was alot of peoples first cars-SAY IT OR NOT- [8D]
i dont really know if anyone has gotten these parts but if not i am one of the first in the states, and i know a hobby shop in the US that can order them.[:-]
ITALY thanks again, you saved my duratrax from EBAY
for now...................[>:][sm=bananahead.gif][sm=punching.gif]

Yeah they are coming out with DuraTrax Street Force GP2 and the chassis look exactly the same as the street force gp so maybe the parts for that car will fit our cars.

Check it out at www.DuraTrax.com

By the way I actually just got a DuraTrax Street Force GP and what do you guys think would be the first upgrade i should put on it.

Also is it ok if i run my car couple of times without not putting the after run oil in it after i run it?

Thanks to all

Hi tamiya, i think that you MUST put aluminum pulleys, the stock ones are very crappy.
I use Robinson Racing 18T aluminum pulleys, made for the HPi nitro Rs4.
Next thing i suggest to upgrade to some high quality rubber or foam tires.
And then, change the original shocks springs. They are too soft, you need something stiffer.

For the after run oil, it is better to use it ALWAYS, every time you use your car.Fuel can do bad things to your engine, when it's not in use.Rust is one of these bad things.
I suggest you to open you engine, and check for rust ,then clean it .

as for me the first thing that was my upgrade was the front big bumper and the stock tire to foams. the bumper cause the stock one sucks and the tires cause the stock ones suck plus foams give you tha much more traction on parking lots then stocks.
after those 2 things the sky is the limit.

Yes Digi, i forgot to mention the front bumper, it will give much more protection from front impact.
Hopefully tomorrow i will able to post pics of my SFGP loaded with protech parts.

I'm curious to hear your comments

just checked out te new street focrce on duratrax site, and there are no new up-grades, all the ones that they have listed are already out. i hope they work something out with protech to get the parts here.
maybe somebody should let protech the manufacture know and maybe they will bring there parts stateside.

yeah a centax clutch but its not on a stock duratrax motor its gonna go on a yokomo stock motor. still trying to figure out who manufactures that motor, but i will find. [8D]
i found out about the parts fronm radiocontrolzone, but i could not read the page so i did a check with protech to see if they had any distributors in the state and they do. JUST 1 and he can get all car parts.
i had to do my homework but it was well worth it.

lucky guy, you found a dealer in the USA
There's only one protech dealer in Italy, and he doesn't import cars.Only plane and accessories.
So i had to bought parts directly from krikke.net, in Holland, and as you can understand, i spent muuuch money. But it was well worth it.

thanks gabry for the compliment. [8D]
i am trying to get pics up but my camera phone sucks and my digital camera is slooooooooooow on delivery.[:@]
i want to put on a different brake but the company that supplies them went under so i am thinkin about buying a graphite plate and cutting a brake. that is something i am trying to do. just picked up the new(used) fm receiver and servos.
sorry to hear that the supplier of protech inn your area would not get the parts for you. honestly he should have especially if you had the part numbers. i would have told him it was for a plane.!!!!!!!!
TAM:
i got some pullies but they aren't from robinsons they are GPM
you can email this guy;
[email protected]
he can get you these pullies.
plus hpi makes them, check there website. and krekke.(protech) makes some too.
good luck.
GABRY cant wait to see the car.
give a run down on your car.

Hi to all

TAM, i bought these hpi pullies from Tower two years ago, i checked the website but they are no long listed..,..maybe HPI discontinued them...but listen to Digi, buy protech or gpm ones and you will not be disappointed

Here's some pics of my little SFGP, maybe not as good as yours Digi, but give it a try
They're in high resolution, so be prepared

List of upgrades:

Duratrax:
Carbon radio tray.
Carbon front & rear shock towers.
Front bumper.
Front & rear CVD.
Rear belt tensioner set.
Blue aluminum fuel filter.

Hpi:
18T aluminum pullies
blue & pink aluminum nuts (3mm;5mm)

Associated:
Blue Associated Titanium Turnbuckle Nitro RS4 Narrow
Carbide diff balls

Lunsford racing pin kit Rs4
tamiya & kyosho titanium screws;aluminum kyosho ball ends.

Protech:
Front aluminum pink bulkhead
Rear aluminun blue bulkhead
Blue aluminum front & rear differentials
