Can any of you guys help me out? I have a commando, and i need the following parts: front drive shaft, and the front bracing plate. I've checked ebay for a parts supplier and found one, but i dont see the part i am looking for, or they dont match. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

yeah i got an answer somewhere else and it is :

220-240 degrees F is what is common. This should be taken after the engine has fully warmed up, and after several high speed passes.

i just ordered a venom temp guage and i cant wait to get it as it will help me tune my engine!!!!!! could you help me with that btw?

thanks

Winner two.. I have expierence with a friends HPI RS4, but he recently moved away, and thought I would throw down $250 and hook this thing up..

Current parts ordered: steel braided fuel lines, K&N air filter, venom on-board temp. guage, venom magnetic slick's with honey comb design inside, aluminum rims (4), and my last piece is to find a nice pipe, which will come last.

No, the one with the purple .15 engine. I'm still looking for a nice pipe.. nothing interests me on eBay. And I'm not buying locally, just way too expensive.

Has anyone upgraded their pipe and LIKE it?

oh ok, cool. i wouldn't mind a tuned pipe either, but not right now. but i was wondering, would any pipe fit the car, or do you need a specific size?

Since my last post I added a new air intake and an HPI header to my setup. I was running a header only ...no exhaust for all out high speed. The car was louder than freekin hell but pulled very hard!! My smartech was pulling the front end off of the ground in a straight line!! It was so fast that it was completely sick!!! I was running as lean as possible too, just to test the engine's limits on 20% nitro 16% caster. This gives you more power but makes the engine run very hot.....don't try this at home! Well I found the limit! I bent the connecting rod, broke it where it attaches to the crank and destroyed the piston as well. No damage to the sleeve though....I just ordered my new engine though....ready for this? I bought an O.S. CV-R .18! www.osengines.com check it out...1.35 hp @30,000rpm .....1 mm larger bore and 1mm longer stroke than my factory .15cx.....I will post reactions when I get 'er installed. I am bound and determined to make an awesome Smartech yet!

Same here R/C.. I've played with them before, and messed with extra parts, but never had my own.

Since I purchased it with my own money, I believe I will take much better care of it, if someone else had bought it for me.

jaj, how much did you pay for the engine? Did you get it locally, or online?

My neighbor and I confidently think my car my car was running around 50mph!! It was fast out of the box, but completely sick once we messed with it a bit. I purchased the new engine from towerhobbies.com for about $120. I am going to be doing some comparisons among different fuel mixtures soon as well. I am expecting the engine monday or tuesday!!

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this hobby, and decided to start out with a Winner Sport (since I didn't want to throw too much money into it). All I can tell is that it's running pretty well; I too had some problems with tuning, and still haven't fixed the problem completely.

Before getting this car, I was a little bit confused since Smartech was not very well known (like HPI for instance), but it'll do.

Thank you.
I have a question, maybe someone can help : first of all, the engine keeps stalling after running a tank or less; it looks like the carburetor is getting hot and fuel is pushed back to the tank; if I let it cool for a while, I can start it once again. Maybe I have the wrong settings. Any ideas ?

Thanx.
