Default Speed Demon!

Hey all,

Just got my R-40 Japanese Edition all ready to race today and I gotta say this thing is crazy fast!!! I thought the .12 Novarossi 5 port would be fast, but this is stupid fast. I'm used to runnin my MT's (kinda fast) and my buggy which I thought was a screamer but not in comparison to this. Anyways, enough of that, here are some pics.

Cheers[8D]

Very nice. I have and r40 as well. I got and RB Concepts .V12 motor. Its pretty fast. Seems to handle nice as well. Pretty sharp and good brakes. Adding a savage 25 to my collection as well. HPI seems durable.

The bottom chassis gets scuffed fast on mine. What about yours?

Hey thanks guys! Just painting a Ferarri Modeno body for it now, sort of my cruisin body...lol. The chassis got scuffed up a bit due to an "unclean" track and also I have the ride height lowered to help with some harder cornering. Although I haven't really run it much, according to some of the local racers, theirndercarriage takes quite the beating on some of the dirtier and more uneven tracks. I guess it all depends on setup and track quality...our track in town is very smooth, even and it gets swept after every race. I'll post some pics with the new body.

Cheers

Ya mine is pretty trashed but other then that the car is in perfect shape. Seems the way thier designed the chassis takes all the punishment. Every little rock out there will scratch it.

Give the car character. hehe

That's a "just incase" filter. Just incase there's any crap from the pipe that wants to make it's way back into my tank. One of the guys I run with suggested it so I had a spare one lying around. I've actually cleaned it out recently and you'd be surprised at the crap (very small crap, but crap none the less) that finds it way up that tube.

Yeah sedans are way different from offroads. I run an RB V12 Rody 3 port std in mine and it is just flat out fast. I may remove the restrictor to see how much faster it runs and or try a new pipe. Mine is the std R40 kit with only the LW 2speed, GF shock towers, and LW shafts. That's about it. I may get some more upgrades later on.

Ah, O'Donnell! Gotta love that stuff. Do you get a mild yellowing of the fuel thats in the tank from heat?

How's that RB holdin up? I thought about getting one to replace the Novarossi when it dies (hopefully not for a long time). Good investment? Yeah, I find it really hard now decidin on what to run..ON or Off road? Gotta love the speed of the On roads though and their insane ability to turn into mini tornado's with too much throttle...lol.

Cheers

Armed- Nope, no discoloration what so ever. It gets yellow on the outside from gummed up fuel.

Crazy- It will be hard to find a 3 port std Rody V12. The ones offered now are Roar and EFRA legal. Those will be a bit harder to tune and more expensive. Regardless they are rediculously fast. If you can't get one, the NS12 or RR12s are fine for $240 or so. My rody was $320 at the lhs. Other LHS sell the other versions for $259-$390.
