how has the exhaust cracked? have you hit something? and a THS Racing pipe would be pretty good for the engine, its about $50

i have not hit anything the first header was put on and i ran about 4 tanks of fuel and it cracked i brought it back to my lhs and he told me to talk to rd logics i told them the situation and they sent me a new one under waranty i ran about the same amount of tanks through this one and it cracked in two different places!!!

thats very odd, never heard of a header just cracking like that, are you maybe overtightening it?

I don't think over tightening is the case i could only go so tight with a screwdriver lol but i noticed both headers sat very close to my pull start (the thickness of a piece of paper) so maybe the vibration through the engine was putting pressure on it and at high temps the aluminum became weak and cracked. I was thinking of the vantage pipe but i have heard a hot muffler is better then a cold one and the carbon fiber doesn't heat up?????? The ths pipe is nice very similar to my rd logics pipe but its allot cheaper which is nice!!

The vantage pipes have gotten great reviews, wouldn't go wrong with one

i have a question
im running the vantage pipe on basically stock t15 motor
i want to upgrade to 18cvr soon
but the exhaust is made for 12-15 sized engines
so would i have to buy a new one
or do you think it would be ok?

Just an update I put my .18 cvr with the vantage carbon pipe an evo and it rocks there is total power to the ground and the vantage pipe looks and sounds great with the .18 cvr to back it up. It turned out on my rs4 2 the header was very close to the pullstart when cold but when it would heat up it would touch and the vibration caused it to crack i purchased a ths header which mounted right up to my rd logics tuned pipe i put the t 15 from the rs4 3 that i picked up cheap off a buddy in the rs4 2 with a pull starter i want to sell it but its hard to let go of it being my first rc car i was curious what i could get for it on e bay it has the t 15 engine/ rd logics header and tuned pipe/ gpm adjustable camber links and aluminum steering assembly/ topcad silver 7075 chassis/ cvd's in the rear/ fiber disk brake/ futaba servos/ 2 speed tranny and some more minor things !!!!
