RE: what kind of glue people use to glue there exhaust ?
you use absolutely no glue on your exhaust. The manifold attaches to your engine with a spring, and a rubber gasket inbetween the engine and manifold (different types depending if you have a rear, or side exhaust engine). then between the manifold and pipe there is either another gasket that looks preatty much the exact same as the one that goes between the engine and manifold on rear exhaust engines, and you use 3 small springs to hold the pipe and manifold together. On some other exhausts between the manifold and pipe there is a rubber coupler (looks like a rubber tube). you push your pie into the header a bit (if its able to, on some exhaust you cant so just put them right up against each other. The coupler goes with the spot where the pipe and manifold meet rgiht in the middle. Then put 2-3 zip ties as tight as possible on the coupler to seal evwerything off.

Sometimes it's just better not to ask. Just take the fact that you done scratched your head and leave it alone...LMAO!
All jokes aside, exhaust pipes and manifolds are all manufacturered...not made out of glue. They do make cheap plastic pipes, but nowadays every RTR has an aluminum pipe.

there is a support article on horizon hobbies website on how to use 5 minute epoxy as a gasket maker instead of the manifold gasket for glow powered heli engines.. this guy claims he has been using it for years with no leaks , no problems. 5 minute epoxy never really hardens, it cures so fast that it actually stays flexible. i do not know if i would want to try that though.......maybe on one of my older wore out engines.....but he claims it works great.

uhh, i got tired of cheap fibre gaskets blowing up on me (side exhaust engine) so i bought some gasket maker (not the paper its a paste) all i do it put a small coating on the header then screw it on like normal. i did it once, and it never leaked or blew. and i only changed it once in about 8-10 months only because i took off the header for maintenance.

i'll have check that stuff out. that must be good stuff. i've tried 'permatex form a gasket' on airplane engines and the nitro in the fuel would just dissolve it away.

I run rear exhaust engines so those days of the fiber gaskets are over. Now I only change the rubber ones after say 10months or more. No screws either to hold the exhaust on...just springs. Infact the Picco RC speed .12s had a round port side exhaust setup that used rubber gaskets, but too bad no other manufacturers followed that idea due to chassis setup.
