Default 18ss break in

I have an rs4 318ss with a few mods,I couldn't sell it so I built it.My ? is did you guys break yours in using the manual way or is the heat cycle method better? I have the good pipe on it and after break in I have the racing clutch and air filter for it,I'm using a radio from my extra MGT and I have a good fuel filter and fail save on it so we are ready to use some fuel and wear some tires down.lol
