i recently ripped up my rear belt on my RS4 2 and i would like to know how to prevent it. i have been noticing that when the car locks up and i check out the belts there is always a rock in it. how can i prevent it.

this is one of the cons of belts. little rocks and belt dont mix. unless you make some custom belt covers, your going to have to clean the area were you run or run in a clean area.

I have had the same problem many times

If I find myself running in a "rocky" area, I usually just try to find pieces of lexan large enough to either place over the entire chassis or over just the holes on the chassis. I usually keep pieces when I trim bodies that Ive painted. I find that the truck bodies usually come with larger and thicker pieces of lexan.

Now the negative. If covering the holes in the chassis, sometimes rocks will get in between the chassis and the body and cant get out because there is lexan there. Besides that, find a clean area and keep extra belts. Also, try the kevlar belts that are offered. I think they came on the Racer2 and were optional on the RS4.
