Soff/hard tires front or rear?
I just purchased some more Parma 1/10 28mm foam tires for my SFGP.
Right now I have the 35/55 up front and the 35 in the rear. Should it be the opposite?
The steering isn't too straight, but I could deal with that and it isn't that big of a problem, but after getting used to my new Savage I've become scared of driving this thing down my street...lol It's steering, braking and throttle are so firm and twitchy, which is definitely good, but I'm just not used to it anymore.
Would 30mm in the rear help the stability of the car? Different shore ratings and material tires perhaps as well?
Links to pre-glued good brands?
Any input is greatly appreciated,
dan

RE: Soff/hard tires front or rear?
Definately 30mm in the rear, and 26-28 up front. Use softer tires in the back, as the front doesn't slide much anyway. In my gpx4 I use 35 shore rear and 40 shore in front but where I run it is not very abrasive so they last a good bit. If they wear to fast in the rear, go up to 40 shore in back and 42-45 shore fronts. I am currently using grp foams but I like almost all of them and usually look for specials on tower hobby or other sites and order enough for a few races. Twister had a great deal going for awhile but not sure if they still do. All the foams come premounted, so no worries there. Just checked twister tires usa site and they have them for 10$ a pair, or less if you order 20 or more.

RE: Soff/hard tires front or rear?
So my set-up of 35/55 in front and 35 in rear is correct?
I'll experiment with different sizes later on then.
Are there different off-sets and such? I ask because I purchased some GRP foams at my LHS and they rubbed my turn-buckles in the rear...

You may be able to space them out just enough by putting small washer/spacer between drive pin (wheel hex sits on it) and bearing. Or you can also get offst hexes. Sometimes I use hexes from stadium trucks which are also 12mm, but usually thicker so it pushes wheel out farther.
